Useful reframing of “pépé” Ajavon, towards the Togolese opposition

He did not go out of his way to enlighten his friends in the Togolese opposition who firmly believe that there will be a constitutional vacuum on the evening of December 31, 2023, given that the legislative elections are postponed in the first quarter of 2024 by the Togolese government.

The man who has been very quiet lately, Mr. Zeus Ajavon, through a video, reframes everything. In short, for him, there is no constitutional void in the current context. For the former leader of the “Save Togo” Collective, we cannot speak of a constitutional void insofar as the same article 52 of the Constitution stipulates that “the members of the outgoing National Assembly and Senate, at the end of their mandate or dissolution, remain in office until their successors take up effective office.”

He therefore hits this hypothesis of constitutional vacuum supported by his friends in the Togolese opposition. It’s up to everyone to have their own opinion.
