“The price of mega will drop by 99.99%”, announces Arcep

The Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Posts (ARCEP) announced good news to Data consumers this Wednesday (Last week). This is news that goes far and also affects voice and SMS services.

For the moment, this good news concerns those who will find themselves roaming between Togo and Benin. Director General of Arcep-Togo, Michel Yaovi Galley signed an agreement to this effect yesterday with Hervé Coovi Guedegbe, the executive secretary of Arcep-Benin.

“Today, thanks to the memorandum of understanding that we have just signed, the prices for roaming services will drop drastically,” suggested Mr. Galley.

For example, for the subscriber of Moov Africa Togo on the sister network of Moov Africa Benin, the price of the mega goes from 2000 CFA francs to 2.22 CFA francs, or 900 times cheaper.
