The administrative account of the Mayor, Edoé Gunn, rejected by the majority of Councillors !

Togo, a decentralization problem ?, are we tempted to ask ourselves, given the various hiccups encountered in the collaboration first between the advisers themselves, coming from different political sides, then vis-à-vis the administration central.

The last of these hiccups is the one that the Commune of Lacs 3, Agbodrafo, has been experiencing for a while. After a complaint that a Councilor would have filed against one of her peers for an alleged usurpation or falsification of signature, it is the turn of the Principal Mayor to bear the brunt of a vote yesterday Thursday. It was during the second ordinary session of this year 2023 opened since last Wednesday.

According to information received by our editorial staff, this session devoted to the study and vote of the administrative account of 2022, turned against the boss of the Town Hall of Lacs 3, Edoé Gunn. Of the 13 Councilors of the Town Hall, 7 voted against the administrative account presented and 6 for, consequently, the administrative account was purely and simply rejected.

Sources within local elected officials who had voted against this account, the main reason for this rejection is the lack of transparency in the management of the municipality’s financial resources and a certain inability to absorb investment revenue. The latter argue that on a forecast of 200 million CFA francs, it is difficult to manage to invest 35 million CFA francs, or 17.27%.

These peers of the Principal Mayor, Edoé Gunn, who thus mark their disagreement with the administrative account and the management that is done by the latter, regret even more the fact that no investment is made to positively impact the lives of their parents or voters who "crouch in misery".

Our attempts to obtain the version of the Principal Mayor of the commune of Agbodrafo, Mr. Gunn, have so far remained unsuccessful. However, we will come back to his version of the facts as soon as possible.
