"Peace and Joy in the hearts", carrying a message of Peace and Non-violence to the populations of Kozah

Celebrating peace and non-violence through football and athletics, this is what the great festival boils down to, of which the association "Peace and Joy in the Hearts" of John Bakilaan Yoagbati wants to be the initiator at the during these holidays 2023 in the prefecture of Kozah (North Togo) and precisely in the canton of Pya (Commune of Kozah 2).

This event by which the initiator and his collaborators are carriers is in its 2nd edition and intends to spread among the population "a message of peace and non-violence", from August 10 to 12. According to information brought to the attention of the press, this Grand Festival of Football and Athletics followed by an awareness campaign will bring together "four cantons namely Pya, Yadè, Tcharè, Kouméa".

In detail, activities are planned. “In Pya, there will be a football festival and city races of 7km for boys and 5km for girls. The winners will be rewarded. Then we will deliver a message centered on the reconciliation of the milieus between them and the training of young people to become fighters for peace. This will have the merit of accompanying President Faure Gnassingbé, this great mediator of peace, in the realization of his vision for Togo and for the whole continent”, explained Mr. Yoagbati.

"Peace and Joy in the hearts" supports its commitment alongside the Head of State by the evidence that, "without reconciliation, the establishment of peace is doomed to failure, we have integrated reconciliation into our schedule. We have therefore decided to establish peace fighters in all regions of the country, responsible for raising awareness and training the populations in non-violence with a view to building the Togolese nation, in unity”.

Among other actions that this association develops or intends to develop, there is the integration into their actions of "assistance to orphans, widows, destitute and visually handicapped", the in-depth explanation to the Togolese of the "meaning of the prophecy of the father of independence, Sylvanus Olympio according to which : ’’Togo is the gold of humanity’’ and the declaration of the late Eyadema Gnassingbé according to which : ’’If we are divided, the enemy will infiltrate’’ ". This last option, according to the organization, is justified by the fact that today, "President Faure Gnassingbé, takes these precepts into account".

Before Dapaong, which will also host the actions of "Peace and Joy in the hearts", the populations of the Kara region are therefore invited to make the massive trip to Pya for the success of this celebration of peace and non- violence.
